By Dong Sun-hwa

K-pop act KARD. Courtesy of DSP Media Mixed-gender band KARD is set to release a new EP ― "Way With Words" ― on Wednesday afternoon, according to its management company DSP Media.

Fronted by the lead single "GUNSHOT," the EP contains two B-sides, "AH EE YAH" and "HOLD ON."

"All members actively took part in the creative process," DSP said Wednesday. "In particular, rapper BM did his bit in composing, penning the lyrics and arranging the lead track."

Through the lyrics of GUNSHOT, the singers highlight the power of words, centering on how they can encourage and discourage people.

KARD, consisting of BM, J.Seph, Somin and Jiwoo, debuted in 2016 and released a string of hits including "Hola Hola" (2017) and "Bomb Bomb" (2019). The act has been pulling off various sonic styles, ranging from tropical to moombahton, and boasts a solid international fandom, particularly in South America.
